Cokemaking Technologies

Department of Cokemaking Technologies

About Us

The Department of Cokemaking Technologies is made up of people with extensive experience, highly qualified experts, specializing in advanced cokemaking technologies and the production of innovative bio-reductants based on biochar, biocarbon and charcoal for various metallurgical processes. These activities also include the development of an appropriate agglomeration technique and the development of a reductant for a specific metallurgical process (including roller press briquetting, stiff vacuum extrusion) and the assessment of its chemical and physico-mechanical properties.

Our expertise also extends to advanced microscopic evaluation, which allows us to precisely assess the quality of raw materials (i.e. coals, bio-carbons and other) as well as the designed products. This is an important element in ensuring the highest quality. Our overarching goal is to support industry in their efforts to optimize their cokemaking processes and implement state-of-the-art bio-reductants manufacturing solutions. We strive to provide innovative and sustainable solutions that increase the efficiency and competitiveness of the metallurgical industry.

Our role is to support the cokemaking, biochar and metallurgical industries in the efficient and sustainable use of coking coal and biogenic raw materials for the metallurgical processes.
