Presentation of the HESS Project results

The annual series of industry conferences took place from June 22–24, 2026, including the Heat Market Conference, the Energy and ICT Management Conference, and the Gas Market Conference. The event brings together representatives of academia, industry, and experts from the energy, heating, and gas sectors.

The conference program included oral and poster sessions devoted to current technical, economic, environmental, and legal issues related to the operation and development of the energy sector.

As part of the conference programme, Michał Jurczyk, PhD, Eng. from the Silesian University of Technology delivered a presentation entitled “Analysis of the possibility of using a fixed-bed heat accumulator as an energy storage system in the form of an adiabatic CAES installation”. The presentation discussed the potential use of a solid-bed thermal energy storage unit as a component of an adiabatic CAES system and included selected results of thermal and numerical analyses.

The conference provides a platform for the exchange of knowledge and experiences, as well as the presentation of the latest research results and innovative solutions supporting the energy transition.
