HESS project final seminar
On 22.06.2026, at the headquarters of the Institute of Fuel and Energy Technology, the final seminar of the project entitled “Hybrid energy storage system using post–mining infrastructure“ (acronym HESS, contract number 10111280) will be held. The project is co–financed by the Coal and Steel Research Fund and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
The event will bring together representatives of all consortium partners who will present the results achieved during the project and discuss the most important conclusions resulting from the research and development work carried out: KOMAG Mining Research Institute, Silesian University of Technology, VSB – Technical University of Ostrava (Czech Republic), Premogownik Velenje d.o.o. (Slovenia) and Institute of Fuel and Energy Technology (ITPE). The seminar will be a platform to summarize the project‘s achievements and exchange experiences related to the development of innovative solutions in the field of energy storage using post–mining infrastructure. The event is open and will be an opportunity to present the results of the HESS project to representatives of the scientific community and the economic sector.
The program of the event also includes a visit to the Center for Clean Technologies belonging to the Institute of Fuel and Energy Technology, during which selected research stations and technological solutions related to the subject of the project will be presented.
